I recently had a fantastic birth on Bluebell with Sharon. She read my birth preferences and followed them to the letter. Even though she was there the whole time, she made it feel like it was just me and my birth partner, only speaking up briefly when I needed encouragement. My little boy was born in the water within a few hours, shortly before midnight, and I know her calming presence helped it be so smooth. There was a complication after birth but I felt I was in safe hands and I appreciated all she did for us.
Please pass on my gratitude to Sharon, and all the staff on labour and swan ward who helped after birth.
Exception nursing and domiciliary team working incredibly hard to provide high standards of care with compassion and against difficult curvumsrances and a challenging workload.
Some staff were actually cruel and unkind in my opinion in the form of sarcasm, not listening to needs and overriding my choices. For example, I repeatedly asked where my Cod Liver Oil tablets were as I had been told I could take them. FINALLY (after much asking), they were found in the locked drawer of my locker. I told the member of staff I would like them and she she denied me this only to lock them away again.
I was made unsafe by a nurse (?) who forced me to reach for my own clothing - it was high up and I could not reach it. With a broken femur, aged 80, I had to use my electric toothbrush to reach the coat hanger and knock my clothes down. I could have fallen again!
I realise staff soon learn that some patients are more demanding than others and that they have to choose when to respond but the lady next to me was not demanding at all yet she was ignored several times when she needed the toilet and pressed her alarm. Staff came into the room, dealt with something clearly not urgent and made her wait.
I had the same experience. I was given medication (Senna) that caused diarrhea then left to yell out after my alarm was not answered. It is degrading.
This is sad to report as some staff were absolutely fantastic. The food was also faultless.
The whole respiratory team are absolutely superb. The nurses are friendly, open and so supportive both in person and when I call. Lilly is my first port of call and I can’t speak highly enough of her. Dr Muhkerjee is also wonderful. He never seems rushed, has time to explain, is kind and honest and just a great guy. I wanted to say how much I have appreciated all their care, and continue to do so. This feels like the NHS at its best. And the clinic is always really efficient and appointments for more urgent tests really swift. It couldn’t be better. Thank you so much.
Overall exceptional care, from the ambulance crew to the staff at A&E. Very polite and professional nursing staff and doctors.
We are very grateful for the care and attention given to my grandson - all of the staff were caring in their discussions about what was happening - we had amazing care & feel extremely fortunate
Thank you to the amazing NHS staff at Warwick children’s ward.
My feedback is well overdue (May 2023), however necessary none the less, especially given the current report out at the moment.
I received absolutely wonderful care throughout, I know it's a job, but when you feel vulnerable, you need to feel safe and people to guide you. I felt so well cared for and one lady in particular was like my stand-in Mum from the moment I arrived on the labour ward, to when they put me back on the Swan Ward, I can't thank everyone enough.
I have been treated in Warwick hospital over the past couple of weeks for a broken leg. The care and overall experience has been absolutely exceptional; quick, efficient, amazing support and seamless.
I have been seen by Mr Farid Ud-Din, Nurse Nikki (apologies I didn’t catch the surname) and Gbadebo, they have been utterly amazing, made me feel safe, listened to any concerns and doing anything they can to help!
Appointments have been booked quickly and promptly.
The whole process has been faultless and I can’t thank Warwick hospital enough!
I would like to thank Dr Simon Tso for the excellent way he managed my appointment this morning. He made me feel completely at ease from the moment I arrived and showed respect and sensitivity to the nature of my appointment.
He was very reassuring, clearly explained everything he was doing and his findings.
A sensitive and compassionate doctor with an excellent bedside manner. Thank you very much!
I was given the option of Warwick Hospital to give birth to my first baby. The lead up staff with all my appointments were on time and staff was all kind and informative.
The team that blew me and my partner away was the labour ward team I cannot give enough praise to all the team. We were rushed in due to me having a planned c section and my waters breaking early.
The atars who I can’t thank enough were midwife Heidi and anaesthetist Zaky who could not do enough for me and my partner. Consistently calm under pressure as this baby did not want to wait. The whole surgery team were an absolute dream to be honest I have not stopped talking about the staff to be honest.
All the staff after surgery were kind, informative and on top form. They all have put so much faith into the NHS for me and my partner.
Warwick hospital should be proud of the all staff on the labour ward each staff member was just amazing I can’t thank them all enough for everything they did for us as a new family of three.
